We’re excited to announce that the Blaine County Planning & Zoning Commission voted on Thursday to approve the Animal Shelter’s Conditional Use Permit for our new facility! This was a critical step forward in our efforts to build a quality community center for pets and the people who love them.

The architects and building team are making great progress hammering out all the details to ensure the new facility meets best design practices for the complex mechanical systems and engineering of the spay/neuter clinic, kennels, and other parts of the building. We are on track to break ground when the snow melts this spring but have a lot more work to do before then.

You will play a vital part in our ability to keep up the amazing momentum of this visionary project. If you’ve already made a leadership gift to the campaign, thank you! We are so grateful to all of the donors who have come forward, eager to see this dream come true - together you have raised $10.7 million of the $16 million needed. Please share your excitement about your contribution with your friends and invite them to come down for a “virtual tour” of the plans with one of us, if they might be interested in participating.

And if you’ve been following our progress, waiting for the right time to donate, now’s the time to jump in. Help us reach the next critical milestone of $12 million, which will ensure we’re able to break ground on time this spring!

Warmly,
